Founded in 1984, by Alberta Ferretti, Philosophy reflects a rich and modern vision that is intrinsically linked to the essence, sex appeal and sophistication of Italian style. The fashion house celebrated the era of New Romanticism by appointing Italian designer Lorenzo Serafini as Creative Director. Sensual yet innocent, the Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini collection is characterized by flowing lines, visually moving prints and natural fabrics.
For Fall/Winter 2016, Serafini looked to two of his favorite icons, Siouxsie and the Banshees and Lady Diana. Titled ‘Punk Romance’, the collection embodies the attitude of the eighties while maintaining the romantic aesthetic that characterizes the Philosophy brand.
In keeping with the inspiration for the collection, the creative director created a modern restyling of the classic ribbed sweatshirt exclusively for LUISAVIAROMA.

Serafini has always been attracted to strong women with a truly personal take on fashion. Part romance part rock ‘n’ roll, for Fall/Winter the creative director aimed to capture the essence of his muses – Lady Diana and Siousxie Sioux – paying homage to their distinct looks and fearless approach to style and life.
